Why run a half marathon in March?
A half marathon in mid-to-late March is a very good long run for a spring marathon. The Chambersburg Half Marathon is 3-4 weeks before the Boston Marathon.
What is the course like?
The course is on rolling country roads. The course does have a couple challenging hills.
Does an athlete under the age of 18 have to run the kids race?
No. The kids runs are for athletes who can not run a half marathon but want to be in a race. In the past, we have allowed athletes as young as 13 to race. As long as the athletes are well-prepared, athletes who can run a half marathon are encouraged to run.
How do I get to the start?
Get directions from Google Maps.
